- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Whisk together flour and baking soda; set aside. Cream together butter, sugars, and vanilla until fluffy.
- Combine flour mixture with wet ingredients until just mixed. Stir in chocolate chips and salt.
- Drop large spoonfuls (about 2 tablespoons each) onto the prepared baking sheet, spacing them 2 inches apart.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until edges are golden but centers are soft. Cool on the sheet before transferring to a wire rack.
Notes
For the best results, use room-temperature butter and take the cookies out when they're lightly golden for maximum chewiness.
