Ingredients
  

Cake Batter
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1.5 cups granulated sugar
  • 0.5 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup milk
  • 3 large eggs
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 0.5 tsp salt
  • 1.5 cups fresh or frozen black raspberries
Frosting
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 4 cups powdered sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2-3 tbsp milk
  • 0.5 cup black raspberry puree made by blending black raspberries

Method
 

  1. Prepare the cake batter by mixing dry ingredients and combining with wet ingredients.
  2. Bake the cake in a preheated oven at 350°F (175°C) for 40 minutes.
  3. Prepare the frosting by creaming butter and powdered sugar, then adding vanilla and milk.
  4. Frost the cooled cake with the prepared frosting.
  5. Serve and enjoy!
